Yesterday a video was published on http://www.xonotic.org which showcased a preview version of the new 0.8 update and all its new features and a couple of new CTF maps.
For those of you who still don't know about it, OpenMW is an open source reimplementation of the Morrowind engine, the third game in the Elder Scrolls series.
CorsixTH is one of my all time favourite open source projects, so I hope it lives a long healthy life. They have just released version 0.40 which includes some exciting new features to make it more complete.

Wildfire Games has released a new alpha of their open source real-time strategy game. Alpha 17 is titled ”Quercus” and contains numerous gameplay balance fixes and ability to place soldiers on top of walls among other things.
With the release of a new Linux kernel, gamers now have more controller options. With the release of the stable 3.17 kernel by Linus Torvalds, the Xbox One controller is now initially supported (without vibration) under Linux.
After more than a year in development, the real time strategy game Annex: Conquer the World 4.0 has now been released, boasting nearly twice the game content, including new armies, new modes of play, new maps, new tile-sets, and a much more refined gameplay. As of version 4.0 the game has now also been released under a FOSS license.
